It's promising but it has some clarity problems.  Hunger just goes u[ and up but there doesn't seem to be anything to eat?

Rings have a "heat output" but that affects what?  I assumed as I used them they would get hot, but there doesn't seem to be any such display?  Or text notification?  After a while I started getting damage from heat but is that from a ring or from fire in the environment?

Also having nothing ranged from the start is rather limiting, I guess eventually there will be gems to change that but in two plays I saw nothing with range.

Also environment effects are sometimes confusing (or even bugged) I saw burning make vapour (do you mean smoke, or something flammable) and "fire" but sometimes what looked like one was the other, and the change of one into the other seemed a bit arbitrary...

Promising, but since roguelikes require me to be highly tactical I need more certainty on what is happening turn-by-turn...

Thank you for your criticism! Firstly you eat corpses! you need a hunger gem to grant this ability but I do plan on having bagels/donuts you can pick up and eat later, Is the Heat bar not visible for you? right between the game view and the ring inventory there is a long vertical bar that says heat, if you cant see that bar please let me know! Yes there are quite a few gems like the point, radius and beam gems (among others) that grant the ring the ability to create effects at range but perhaps I should add more, I felt like they were far to common so perhaps in your two runs you got unlucky haha, I am not sure what you mean about the smoke and fire, could you explain alittle further? :) I am glad that you think it has potential and I agree that certainty is very important, Do you have any other thoughts? anything else I could do to improve clarity?

I'll give the new version a spin and see if I can see that heat bar, I didn't notice it before but I may just not have been looking in the right place...

Good to know about the food, I will keep my eye out for that sort of gem (I would probably assume from the name that it was cursed :-))

The smoke and fire it was, if I recall correctly, that there were grey-ish effects and red-ish effects and my assumption was that they were smoke and flame respectively, but that looking at them (or maybe walking through them) didn't have the effects I expected...  I'll look again in the new version :-)

Hi again, should I be able to remove a gem from a ring with shift-d?  It seems to me I was doing that before, but I can't make it work now...

There are a lot of different types of gas! be sure to (l)ook at things, that way you can see what they are! You should be able to shift+d yes, unless the ring is cursed, frozen or sentient (in some cases)

One of my rings was frozen (and I don't really know what that means, although you've given me a clue here) but I couldn't shift-d any of them, and instead of s message about not being able to get the gem out, it just silently dropped the whole ring...

Awesome game Devin! Very original and the gem swapping can lead to some very interesting combinations

Im very happy you like it! :) Thank you for the comment!

One of the more creative twists on the roguelike genre.

You start out with you bare knuckles, but quickly fill them up with nice bling, which happen to shoot lazers, lightning and many more crazy effects.
The game feels very intuitive and I had a ton of fun trying out different combinations of rings, gems and enemies.
I've found this game is great to fill a coffeebreak with (or longer if you are better than me ;). Recommended to everyone!

I'm glad you took it as a coffee-break Roguelike, definitely a design intention! So glad you enjoy it :)

Awesome!  I have been looking forward to this game :)

I like it so far.  I am a little confused about the hunger thing, as I have found no way to alleviate that yet.  Finding a regeneration ring proved very helpful though, and I get the hang of using the flaming ring too.  The gassy rings seem to do more harm than good so far...

I am glad you enjoy it so far!

Interesting kinds of effects.  I had a regenerative ring of flame, so I could heal myself, but I would also be set on fire :)

Lol quite a tricky choice, remember you can remove gems from rings with shift+d :)

Ah, I did not know!  I was able to do it when I found a new gem and could replace them...

Cool! Let me know what else you find :)
